Editorial policy
Standards for calculator explanations, examples, corrections and editorial independence from advertising.
Write for the calculation task
Definitions, formulas, inputs, examples, interpretation and error prevention take priority over repeating search phrases. Different calculators should explain their own variables rather than reuse an unrelated generic paragraph.
Publish verifiable formulas
Core formulas are shown whenever practical so users can reproduce results by hand or with another tool. Broker-specific values are not presented as universal constants.
Separate examples from current conditions
Worked numbers are hypothetical demonstrations of the formula, not live market data or a claim about a particular broker's current specification.
Keep advertising independent
Advertising does not change formulas, calculator outputs or editorial conclusions. Empty advertising placeholders are not presented as if they were content.
Corrections and review
Confirmed errors are corrected against the formula or specification, and material content changes update the review date.
